Rachel Meghan Markle, born in Los Angeles, California, on August 4, 1981, to Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland. She would attend private schools before attending Northwestern University outside of Chicago during which time she interned at the US Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated with a degree in International Relations and Theater. She traveled back to Hollywood and got her start in acting in small roles on General Hospital and Castle before getting her big break on USA Network drama Suits where she played Rachel Zane. She began dating Prince Harry in the summer of 2016, and they announced their engagement in November 2017. They wed on May 19 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle and were named the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that morning.
