After over 7 years of dating, the engagement of Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling was finally announced on 24th February 2009 to great joy from the public. 

The Crown Princess and her future husband sat down for a brief interview and photo call with the press at Princess Sibylla's apartments at the Royal Palace, where they spoke about their relationship and their future together. Victoria also proudly showed off her engagement ring. 

Victoria wore a purple satin dress from Swedish designer Pär Engsheden. Victoria wore another dress by Engsheden when she married Daniel on 19th June 2010. It was the first royal wedding in Sweden in 34 years. 

Victoria and Daniel's wedding would go off without a hitch and the couple now have two beautiful children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar.
