Duchess of Cambridge's arrival and days one and two of 2011 Canadian trip
Upon her arrival in Ottawa, Canada, on June 30, 2011, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a navy lace scooped back dress by Canadian brand, Erdem. She was also wearing her nude LK Bennett heels. She had changed from the blue blazer by Smythe les Vestes (Toronto based company) and Rouland Mouret navy dress she was wearing as she left London. Kate was also wearing navy Manolo Blahniks at the time.
When they arrived, they were greeted by several Canadian authorities including the Mayor of Ottawa. They laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Uknown Soldier at the Canadian National War Memorial. Later, they were officially welcomed at Rideau Hall, the residence of the Governor General of Canada before moving on to a Celebration of Youth Barbecue Reception at the same location.
On day two, the couple celebrated Canada Day. The Duchess of Cambridge wore a white Reiss mid-length dress which featured overlapping fabric on the left side for a citizenship ceremony at the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Hull, Quebec (near Ottawa). It was the same dress she wore in her engagement portraits. She paired it with a red hat by Lock & Co. which featured a maple leaf - traditional Canadian symbol. Her outfit, in general, were the colors of the Candian flag - fitting for the national holiday. She was wearing her silver Asprey necklace and earrings.
For the last engagement at the Evening National Canada Day Celebrations on Parliament Hill, she changed into a purple V-necked dress by Issa. She was also wearing black Prada pumps and carrying an Anya Hindmarch clutch. Several Canadian acts performed on the occasion before they concluded day two of their first royal tour.
