King Felipe and Queen Letizia preside over the annual meeting of the Cervantes Institute


Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia presided over the annual meeting of the Cervantes Institute Board of Trustees in the Royal Palace of El Pardo. The Cervantes Institute is the public institution created by Spain in 1991 for the promotion and teaching of the Spanish language and for the promotion of Spanish and Latin American culture.

During the meeting, the board explained the academic and cultural data of the course that is closing, marked by the coronavirus crisis, as well as the objectives and forecasts of the new course. The Strategic Plan 2021-2023 and the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the creation of the institution next year were also discussed.


Queen Letizia wore her white Uterque blouse with a black skirt as well as her Magrit black and white shoes and Magrit black and white leather clutch. She also wore her Karen Hallam ring.
