Regal Review: Norwegian Crown Prince Couple's visit to Baltic States - Lithuania

This week, our Regal Review takes us to the Baltic states where Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit made a four days official visit back in April 2018. Following their first day in Latvia, the couple traveled to Lithuania.

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit were first officially welcomed by President Dalia Grybauskaitė at the Presidential Palace. Then, they walked through Vilnius’ old town to the House of Signatories where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1918. The couple also had lunch with the Prime Minister and took part in a wreath-laying ceremony.

In the afternoon, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit met with children who are benefitting from the Vaikų linija program. Children and teenagers who need someone to talk to can contact over the phone or online. There they meet someone who listens to them and helps them find solutions. The Crown Prince couple also met with some of the 190 volunteers of the program.

In the evening, the Crown Prince couple attended an official dinner hosted by the President at the Presidential Palace.

The couple concluded their visit to the country the next morning by attending the Technology Inspiring Growth seminar and meeting Norwegian troops stationed in the country.

For the welcome ceremony, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a new coat by Brock Collection with her Prada pumps and an old UFO clutch. She then changed into her Roger Vivier flats.

She then changed into a Stella McCartney blazer with a dress that she bought in Norwegian secondhand store Fretex. She paired the dress with her brown Prada pumps (before changing into her Roger Vivier flats once again) and her Aspinal of London clutch.

For the dinner, Mette-Marit wore a ByTiMo blue printed dress with blue suede Gianvito Rossi pumps and a Tags Evolution clutch.

For their last event in Lithuania, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore her old Marni coat with her Dolce & Gabbana red dress, Christian Louboutin brown pumps and her Loewe clutch.
