Today, Crown Prince Frederik celebrates his 52nd birthday! Let’s take a look back at the celebrations hosted by Queen Margrethe two years ago for Crown Prince Frederik’s 50th birthday!

In the morning, a new official photo of Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, and their children was released.

Crown Princess Mary wore her Victoria Beckham blue top with her Day Birger et Mikkelsen skirt, her Prada belt, and Cartier gold bracelet.

Princess Isabella wore a blouse with a red Sandro skirt.

Princess Josephine wore a blue dress with a lace appliqué by Fina Ejerique.

At noon, the Crown Prince family and Queen Margrethe appeared on the balcony of Amalienborg Palace to greet the crowd waiting to cheer on Crown Prince Frederik.

Crown Princess Mary wore her Vilshenko printed dress with her Cartier gold bracelet.

Princess Isabella wore a white blouse with a printed skirt by SAND Copenhagen and a Dulong necklace. Princess Josephine wore the same Fina Ejerique dress she wore in the official photo.

In the evening, Queen Margrethe hosted a gala dinner with the Danish royal family and foreign royal guests in attendance.

Crown Princess Mary wore a custom made lace gown by Danish designer Lasse Spangenberg with her Prada pink satin pumps and Prada pink clutch. She wore her Edwardian tiara, the matching earrings and her Cartier gold bracelet.

Queen Margrethe wore a coral lace gown by Birgitte Thaulow with her Naasut Tiara.

Princess Marie wore a navy sleeveless Elie Saab gown with a matching navy Bottega Veneta clutch and Michael Kors navy sandals. She wore her wedding tiara with new Fairytale earrings by Christine Hvelplund.

Princess Benedikte wore a blue cape gown by Wichmann Couture. She wore the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg Fringe Tiara with diamond earrings, a diamond necklace and a diamond and sapphire brooch.

Crown Princess Marie-Chantal wore a pink gown with a gold Begum Khan clutch. She wore a bandeau and two long necklaces.

Princess Maria-Olympia wore a floral Christian Dior Couture gown with her mother’s Calvin Klein gold box clutch. She also wore the Miller Fringe Tiara.

Princess Theodora wore a pink gown by Pia Gladys Perey with the Antique Corsage Tiara.

Queen Silvia wore a bright pink off the shoulder gown by Georg et Arend with her Cartier bracelet. She wore the King Edward VII Ruby Tiara.

Crown Princess Victoria wore a Camilla Thulin floral gown with her Anya Hindmarch gold clutch and Roger Vivier satin pumps. She wore her Baden Fringe Tiara.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a white embroidered gown with her Valentino white minaudière and Prada pink patent leather pumps. She wore her Diamond Daisy Bandeau Tiara.
