Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the Canary Islands to support the recovery of social, economic, and citizen activity, after the pandemic.

They first visited the "Pérez Galdós House-Museum" on its first day of reopening like the rest of the Canarian museums. They were welcomed by the director of the museum, Victoria Galván, and they unveiled a plaque commemorating their visit before signing the guest book.

Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia went to the Playa de las Canteras and toured its promenade.

They also visited the Santa Catalina Royal Hideaway Hotel which reopened today where they were welcomed by the staff and held a meeting with representatives of the tourism sector.

In the afternoon, King Felipe and Queen Letizia traveled to Tenerife where they visited the Tenerife South Airport to observe the health security systems implemented at the airport. They also visited the El Confital farm, a Canarian fruit plantation, before holding a meeting with representatives of the Primary Sector from all over the archipelago, which included representatives of agriculture, livestock, fishing, and rural development.
