On July 1st, 2011, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated Canada Day in Ottawa on the second day of their first royal tour.
The couple first attended a citizenship ceremony at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. It was the first time members of the Royal Family attended a citizenship ceremony in Canada.
Following the ceremony, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Canada Day Parliament Hill Noon Show. Performers included Sam Roberts Band, Corb Lund, and Maria Aragon.
In the evening, William and Catherine attended more celebrations as they watched artists such as Great Big Sea, Tragically Hip, and Weezer performing at a Canada Day concert. The show ended with a firework display.
For the day celebrations, Catherine wore her Reiss white Nanette dress with red Hobbs pumps and an Anya Hindmarch fan clutch. She wore a bespoke red hat by Lock & Co with maple leaves as well as Kiki McDonough earrings, her Tiffany & Co bracelet, and Asprey London necklace.
For the evening celebrations, Catherine wore a purple ruched dress by Issa with a black satin clutch by Anya Hindmarch and her black satin pumps by Prada.
