Queen Letizia visits the ONCE Foundation headquarters with the First Lady of South Korea
Today, the President and First Lady of South Korea spent their second and last day in Spain. While the President had a solo agenda with King Felipe, Queen Letizia and First Lady Kim Jung-Sook visited the ONCE Foundation headquarters in Madrid.
The ONCE Foundation has a unique model of social and labor inclusion of blind or disabled people. During their visit, the Queen and the First Lady visited the training room where fifteen students with disabilities acquire telemarketing skills online and in-person and toured the rest of the facilities.
They also toured the exhibition halls which include works by artists with and without disabilities who at some point have participated in the ONCE Foundation Art Biennials. They also learned how ONCE aims to make the new digital revolution inclusive. The First Lady of South Korea also gifted a Braille watch manufactured by a Korean company to the President of ONCE.
At the end of the visit, Queen Letizia and the First Lady bought a coupon each from a vendor from ONCE. Those coupons had the date of the start of the diplomatic relationship between Spain and South Korea on them and, as a symbol, Queen Letizia and the First Lady exchanged their coupons.
Queen Letizia wore her Massimo Dutti printed dress with her Carolina Herrera brown slingback pumps and Carolina Herrera clutch. She paired the outfit with her bamboo earrings and her Karen Hallam gold ring.
