Today, Queen Maxima visited a truck driver school in Nieuwegein to discuss women’s work in the transport and logistics sector.

During her visit, Queen Maxima spoke with women at different stages of their careers as truck drivers including experienced drivers and drivers still in training. The discussion focused on the shortage of drivers within the sector, which is partly caused by prejudices about the nature of the profession.

To conclude her visit, Queen Maxima tried to drive a truck herself under supervision.

Queen Maxima wore a Natan outfit with Jimmy Choo navy wedges. She wore new cobalt blue earrings and a matching ring with her Dinh Van bracelet.
