The Countess of Wessex visits the Democratic Republic of the Congo - Day 2
On Tuesday, the Countess of Wessex spent her second day in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
She first visited Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr. Denis Mukwege’s Panzi Hospital to learn more about their work with victims of sexual violence in conflicts. She also spent time with patients and staff members.
Afterward, the Countess of Wessex Panzi Foundation to hear about “the holistic approach that has helped to rehabilitate over 70,000 survivors of conflict-related sexual violence since 1999.”
The Countess of Wessex then visited the City of Joy which aims to help survivors come to terms with their trauma and to help them take leadership roles in their communities.
The Countess of Wessex wore her Soler dress with her Penelope Chilvers shoes and Sophie Habsburg clutch. She paired the outfit with her Cassandra Goad necklace and Felt bracelet.
