Italian State Visit to The Netherlands - Day 1
On Wednesday, the President of Italy and his daughter started a three-day State Visit to The Netherlands. They were officially welcomed by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima at Dam Square in Amsterdam.
After the welcoming ceremony, King Willem-Alexander and President Mattarella reviewed the troops.
In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted a gala dinner for the President and his daughter.
In his speech, King Willem-Alexander said: “We are close allies. We stand by each other in difficult times. As member states of the European Union, we will never abandon each other, whatever happens. Our true strength emerges when we are put to the test. As free European nations, we are a powerful front against Russia’s brutal violence. And together we are protecting the people of Europe from the worst effects of hardship and crisis.”
Queen Maxima first wore a Natan dress with a Natan cape which she paired with Gianvito Rossi pumps, a Natan clutch, and a Fabienne Delvigne hat.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Jan Taminiau gown with the Württemberg Ornate Pearl Tiara.
