On Sunday evening, Queen Margrethe hosted a gala dinner at Christianborg Palace to mark her Golden Jubilee.

During the dinner, Crown Prince Frederik made a speech which you can watch below. He said:” The ship, we share it, it is our responsibility. I follow you as you followed your father and as Christian will follow me. In this way, our lives overlap – fortunately – but you alone have the helm. The command has only one owner on the bridge between generations with the same mission. So you can be sure that I, as your second-in-command, stand right behind you. Loyal and full of respect for the journey you have taken and continue to take us all on. “

Queen Margrethe wore her Birgitte Thaulow gown with the Pearl Poiré Tiara.

Queen Anne-Marie wore a green gown with the Emerald Parure Tiara and Princess Benedikte wore her Wichmann Couture gown with the Berleburg Fringe Tiara.

Crown Princess Mary wore a new version of her Jesper Hovring golden gown with her Sergio Rossi clutch, her Gianvito Rossi pumps, and her Ruby Parure.

Princess Marie wore a new Rikke Gudnitz gown with a repeated clutch, her Michael Kors pumps and her Diamond Floral Tiara.

Queen Silvia wore a new Georg et Arend gown with her Judith Leiber clutch and her Cartier bracelet. She wore the Nine Prong Tiara.

Queen Sonja wore a repeated yellow gown with the Leuchtenberg Emerald Tiara.
