Dutch State Visit to South Africa - Day 2
On Thursday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima spent their second day in South Africa. They were officially welcomed by President Ramaphosa at Union Buildings. Following the ceremony, the Royal Couple and the Dutch Ministers took part in a delegation meeting with the South African president and his ministers.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima then attended a private lunch hosted by President Ramaphosa at the Presidential residence.
In the afternoon, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited Freedom Park, which was designed as a memorial by former President Thabo Mbeki for all South Africans who gave everything in the South African struggle for freedom and humanity. The Royal Couple laid a wreath at the eternal flame before visiting an exhibition with work by two photographers who witnessed the struggle against apartheid.
In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted a concert for President Ramaphosa as an of appreciation for the hospitality offered during the State Visit.
Queen Maxima first wore a Natan dress with a matching hat, her Gianvito Rossi pumps, her JAR earrings, and her Chanel sunglasses.
