King Felipe and Queen Letizia visit Tenerife
On Tuesday, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited Tenerife to learn about the extent of the forest fire that broke out on the island last August and has affected a total of twelve municipalities.
They first went to the Chipeque viewpoint where they were briefed about the scope of the fire by the technician of the Territorial, Forestry and Fire Management Service of the Cabildo of Tenerife and the head of the Civil Protection and Emergency Response Service of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia went to Arafo where the fire started. They met with representatives of economic sectors affected by the fire.
In the afternoon, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended the institutional act of recognition for the staff, personnel, groups, schools, corporations, and their valuable work in the fight against the forest fire.
King Felipe made a speech in which he said: “We join with pleasure, with pride, in this act of well-deserved recognition that you receive from the authorities, from those affected, from the neighbors and from all the people of Tenerife and the Canary Islands.”
Queen Letizia first wore a repeated coat with her Hugo Boss jumper and her Mango trousers. She also wore her Gold & Roses earrings and her Coreterno ring.
Queen Letizia then wore her Galcon Studio outfit with her Magrit pumps and her Magrit clutch. She paired the outfit with her Pertegaz earrings and her Coreterno ring.
