Dutch Royal Couple and Princess Catharina-Amalia visit the Dutch Caribbean Islands - Day 9
On Tuesday, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia continued their tour of the Dutch Caribbean Islands, spending their second day in St Maarten.
They first visited Fort Amsterdam where they on a birding excursion in search of the brown pelican, the island’s national bird.
Afterward, the Royal Couple and the Princess of Orange visited the White and Yellow Cross residential home for older people and people with a disability.
They also visited a science fair, where primary and secondary school pupils presented their solutions for reducing plastic waste on the island.
In the afternoon, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia visited Resources for Community Resilience (R4CR) which disburses World Bank funds to projects aimed at rebuilding St Maarten after hurricane Irma via a Trust Fund.
Afterward, they visited a school garden project where they met pupils about their work in the garden and the importance of gardening for their mental health. They also planted a yellow sage, the island’s national flower.
King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia then visited St Peters Hill, where they learned about nature conservation in St Maarten. They also watched a youth baseball tournament.
In the evening, the Royal Couple and the Princess of Orange attended a reception hosted by the Governor.
Queen Maxima first wore a Zeus & Dione blouse with Natan trousers and her J.Crew ballet flats. Later in the day, she wore her Gianvito Rossi sandals. She also wore her Tom Ford sunglasses.
Princess Catharina-Amalia wore a Sissel Edelbo top (with thanks to QueenMaximaFashion) with black trousers, her Autry sneakers, and her Marina Raphael bag. Later in the day, she wore her ASOS wedges and a Jacquemus bag. She also wore her Chimi sunglasses, her Marianna Lemos necklace, her Hermes bracelet, and her Apple watch.
In the afternoon, Queen Maxima wore her Natan dress with Schutz sandals, her Sophie Habsburg clutch, and her Tom Ford sunglasses.
Princess Catharina-Amalia wore a red blouse with blue trousers, her Gianvito Rossi sandals, and a KB Bags clutch (with thanks to ModeKoninginMaxima). She later changed into her Veja sneakers. She also wore her Chimi sunglasses, her Marianna Lemos necklace, her Hermes bracelet, and her Apple watch.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Valentino dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps.
Princess Catharina-Amalia wore an Erdem dress with her Schutz sandals and her Jacquemus clutch. She also wore her Marianna Lemos necklace, her Hermes bracelet, and her Apple watch.
