Queen Maxima visits the Princess Máxima Center and the Institute for Public Values
On Tuesday, Queen Maxima visited the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology and the Institute for Public Values in Utrecht.
The Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology celebrates its 5th anniversary in 2023 and Queen Maxima met with staff to discuss the Center’s work and how innovations can improve treatments.
She also met with patients and their parents to learn more about their experiences in the Center. Last year, the Center welcomed sixty-three Ukrainian children with cancer, who were able to continue their treatments in Utrecht.
Afterward, Queen Maxima visited the Institute for Public Values to learn about their work using action research to improve public affairs. Queen Maxima also took part in an interactive exercise making outdated residential complexes in disadvantaged neighborhoods more sustainable.
Queen Maxima wore her Natan cape with a Natan dress, her Gianvito Rossi boots, and her Sophie Habsburg clutch.
