Dutch Royal Couple and Princess Catharina-Amalia visit the Dutch Caribbean Islands - Day 7
On Friday, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia spent their last day in Curaçao as part of their Dutch Caribbean Islands tour.
They first visited the Tula Museum at Landhuis Knip on the former plantation where Tula started a slave revolt in 1795.
They watched a performance about the uprising, spoke to descendants of enslaved people, and they also received a list of the names of the enslaved by Landhuis Knip.
Afterward, the Royal Couple and the Princess of Orange visited Hofi Mango, a former sugar plantation that is now a nature park where horticultural education is provided.
In the afternoon, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia presentation on Cas Abao beach by Sea Turtle Conservation Curaçao and the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance (DCNA) about protected marine areas and preserving the sea turtle population. The Princess of Orange also helped a sea turtle into the sea.
In the evening, they attended the Tumba Music Concert with carnival acts at Brión Square. The Festival was held in honor of the late Boy Dap, who is regarded as the king of Tumba, a genre of music and dance originating in Africa.
Queen Maxima first wore her Sandro dress with her Gianvito Rossi ballet flats and an LH Handmade bag (with thanks to Taina Laurino). She paired the outfit with a 360Five Everyday hat. On the beach, she wore her Carrie Forbes slide sandals.
Princess Catharina-Amalia wore a Zara dress with her Veja sneakers and a Themis Z bag. She paired the outfit with a House of Ord hat and her Prada sunglasses. She also wore her Marianna Lemos necklace, her Hermes bracelet, and her Apple watch. On the beach, she wore her Chimi sunglasses, flip flops, and a Mango turtle-shaped bag.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore a Natan dress with her Gianvito Rossi wedges.
Princess Catharina-Amalia wore an Essentiel Antwerp kaftan gown with her Gianvito Rossi sandals and her mother’s black clutch. She also wore earrings borrowed from her mother with her Marianna Lemos necklace, her Hermes bracelet, and her Apple watch.
