On Tuesday, Queen Mathilde continued her working visit to Bangladesh as the UN’s Advocate for Sustainable Development Goals.

She spent the day in Cox’s Bazar where she visited the world’s largest refugee camp in Kutupalong.

She first visited one of the 3,400 learning centers teaching about 356,000 children in the camps.

She also met refugee women who seek refuge in "safe spaces". She then toured the camp to meet with the inhabitants.

Queen Mathilde also learned more about the SAFE+2 program, an initiative of the WHO, the UN Refugee Agency, the World Food Programme, and the Food and Agriculture Organization, aiming to protect the degraded ecosystem while improving the resilience of refugee households.
