King Felipe and Queen Letizia attend IX International Congress of the Spanish Language
On Monday, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended events marking the opening of the IX International Congress of the Spanish Language in Cádiz.
They first attended the inauguration of the Congress which is held under the motto “Spanish language, miscegenation, and interculturality. History and future”. King Felipe made a speech during the event.
Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited several exhibitions located in the Casa de Iberoamérica and organized by different organizers of the Congress.
In the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended the "Tempo de Luz" concert at the Gran Teatro Falla. It was organized by the Cervantes Institute and the Spanish Agency for Cooperation and Development to mark the opening of the Congress.
Upon arrival, they joined a cajoneada that took place to commemorate the origin of the flamenco cajón.
The concert featured performances by Carmen Linares, Marina Heredia, and 'Arcángel' as well as the Cádiz flamenco dance company among others artists. King Felipe and Queen Letizia met with the performers backstage after the concert.
Queen Letizia first wore a Cho Atelier dress (with thanks to @letizia_de_princesa_a_reina) with her Carolina Herrera pumps and an Olivia Mareque bag (with thanks to TrackingRoyal). She paired the outfit with her Alexandra Plata earrings and her Coreterno ring.
In the evening, Queen Letizia wore her Hugo Boss dress with Aquazzura pumps and her Magrit clutch. She also wore her TOUS earrings and her Coreterno ring.
