On Wednesday, Queen Letizia attended the opening session of the Congress on the Prevention of Childhood Obesity.
In her speech, Queen Letizia said: “There is still much to be done. If the epidemic of childhood obesity and overweight continues to increase, it could neutralize many of the health benefits that have contributed to achieving current longevity figures, something that the WHO has been warning about for some time. The path is very difficult, but there are no shortcuts. Governments, the private sector, societies, health officials, and the scientific community all know this. And it is important that all communities and individuals know it too.”
After the opening session, Queen Letizia met with the executive director for the European region of the WHO, Robb Butler.
Queen Letizia then joined the First Lady of Croatia and the rest of the attendees at the National Theater of Croatia where they watched several performances.
On Tuesday evening, Queen Letizia wore a Hugo Boss suit with her Magrit pumps and clutch and her Coreterno ring.
