The Duchess of Edinburgh visits Iraq
The Duchess of Edinburgh spent two days in Baghdad, Iraq, in support of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda (WPS) and to continue her work with survivors of conflict-related sexual violence.
She opened the annual CSSF Women's Voices First Conference where she met with local Women's Rights organizations and beneficiaries.
Afterward, the Duchess of Edinburgh visited Hitten Girl’s School where she spoke to students and teachers about education for young women in the country.
The Duchess of Edinburgh then met with the President of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid, and the First Lady, as well as with Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al Sudani.
In the evening, she attended a reception for Iraqi leaders and survivors furthering the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda.
On Tuesday, the Duchess of Edinburgh visited a family planning center supporting the reproductive health and well-being of Iraqi women.
She also met with women business leaders to discuss the importance of women’s economic empowerment in Iraq.
The Duchess of Edinburgh first wore her ME and EM dress with her Lucia Odescalchi earrings.
The Duchess of Edinburgh then wore her ME and EM dress with her Prada pumps and her Sophie Habsburg clutch. She paired the outfit with her Felt necklace and her Felt bracelet.
For her meetings with the President and the Prime Minister, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore her Beulah London dress with her Prada pumps and her Sophie Habsburg clutch. She also wore her Cassandra Goad necklace.
For the reception, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore an Altuzarra dress.
On Tuesday, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore a Gabriela Hearst dress with her Penelope Chilvers wedges, her Sophie Habsburg clutch and her Lucia Odescalchi earrings.
