On Monday, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde started a three-day State Visit to France. They traveled by train from Brussels to Paris in the morning.

They were officially welcomed by President Emmanuel Macron and the First Lady Brigitte Macron at the Arc de Triomphe.

Afterward, the Presidential Couple received King Philippe and Queen Mathilde at the Elysée Palace where a private meeting took place.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde then went to Matignon where they had lunch with Prime Minister Michel Barnier and his wife Isabelle.

In the afternoon, Queen Mathilde and the First Lady visited the Opéra Garnier where they met with Belgian employees and artists.

In the evening, President Macron and the First Lady hosted a State Dinner at the Elysée Palace for King Philippe and Queen Mathilde. Prince Gabriel was also in attendance as he is currently studying in France.

In his speech, King Philippe said: “Tonight, as our national football teams face off, we will vibrate in the same spirit of friendship and fair play. Even if, of course, I secretly cherish the hope of a victory… The French and the Belgians share much more than a simple border; they are linked by a deep and sincere friendship. Historically, our two nations have always found a common path, paved with shared projects, like the Dukes of Burgundy, perpetually on the move between Brussels, Ghent, Bruges, and Dijon.”

Queen Mathilde first wore her Natan Couture coat dress with Christian Dior pumps and a Christian Dior bag.

In Paris, Queen Mathilde wore a Christian Dior red suit with her Christian Dior pumps and Christian Dior bag.

In the evening, Queen Mathilde wore a Christian Dior gown with a Christian Dior clutch and Christian Dior pumps.
