On Sunday, Queen Sonja took part in NRK’s TV Campaign as Patron. This year’s campaign benefits Barnekreftforeningen, the Children's Cancer Association, which will build family houses at hospitals in four Norwegian cities.

Queen Sonja said: “It has been a great pleasure for me to be a patron of the NRK TV-Campaign several times since its beginning in 1974. The volunteer work that all of Norway does for a good cause each year impresses and inspires me. The volunteers create a power that makes the TV campaign possible, and it makes me proud and humble to be a part of the world's largest volunteer work”
