Grand Ducal Couple and Belgian Royal Couple mark 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge
On Saturday, Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, King Philippe, and Queen Mathilde marked the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in Hamm and Bastogne. They first attended an official ceremony held at the Luxembourg American Cemetery in Hamm, Luxembourg, during which Grand Duke Henri made a speech.
Afterward, the Grand Ducal Couple hosted a private lunch for the Royal Couple at the Grand Ducal Palace.
In the afternoon, King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Grand Duke Henri, and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa attended the official ceremony held in Bastogne, Belgium, at the McAuliffe Square. They then visited the City Hall and took part in the walnut throwing, a tradition perpetuated in homage to the soldiers who defended Bastogne.
Queen Mathilde wore her Natan Couture cape with her Natan Couture green suit and a Fabienne Delvigne hat. She also wore her Rolex watch.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa first wore a black coat with her Barbara Bui jumper, her Maison Vaincourt belt, black trousers, and black boots. She also wore her Iradj Moini necklace.
In the afternoon, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore her Natan top with her Natan black sequin skirt and black boots.
