Danish State Visit to Sweden - Day 2

On Tuesday, King Frederik and Queen Mary spent their second day in Denmark. Queen Mary and Queen Silvia first visited Prince Eugen's Waldemarsudde where they visited the ongoing Marie Krøyer exhibition.

Afterward, Queen Mary and Queen Silvia joined King Frederik and King Carl Gustaf at Stockholm’s City Hall where an official lunch was hosted in honor of the Danish Royal Couple.

In the afternoon, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, King Frederik, and Queen Silvia visited Forskaren - a newly built property in Hagastaden that will become a hub for knowledge exchange and collaboration between world-leading players in life science.

They were then joined by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel at the Nordic Museum where they visited Nordbor, the museum's new permanent exhibition about life in the Nordics for 500 years.

King Frederik then planted a tree from Gråsten outside of the museum as a memory of the state visit.

In the evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted a return reception on the Royal Ship Dannebrog for King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

After the reception, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted a farewell ceremony for King Frederik and Queen Mary at the Royal Castle.

Queen Mary first wore her Oscar de la Renta cape with her Birgit Hallstein dress (as confirmed by the designer). She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and an Anya Hindmarch bag. She also wore Ole Lynggaard jewels.
