Crown Princess Mette-Marit's Literature Train - Day 1
On Tuesday, Crown Princess Mette-Marit started her two-day Literature Train tour. A new official photo was released to mark this new edition.
On Tuesday afternoon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit boarded the Rørosbanen which is hosting this year’s Literature Train.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s Literature Train started in 2014 and aims to spread the joy of reading. People can board the train during its scheduled stops to visit the train’s library.
The first stop of the literary tour was in Elverum where Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited the library and met with men taking part in the project "Men in uniform read!".
The first day concluded with a discussion between Norwegian author couple Linn Ullmann and Niels Fredrik Dahl and the biographer Alf van der Hagen at Elverum’s cultural center. In her opening speech, Crown Princess Mette-Marit said: “Literature is worth celebrating every single day. It opens the door to new perspectives, it gives us room to get to know ourselves and each other better, and it is now also proven to lower blood pressure and increase concentration.”
In the official photo, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore her The Fold blouse with her Valentino trousers, her Christian Louboutin flats, and her Cartier ring.
To board the Literature Train, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a navy outfit with her Christian Louboutin flats and her Tom Ford glasses.
In Elverum, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore her Joseph coat with a black blazer and a Gabriela Hearst outfit. She paired the outfit with her Aquazzura pumps, her Venyx earrings, and her Tom Ford glasses.
