On September 24th, 2014, King Felipe and Queen Letizia spent their last day in New York City. They first attended the Opening Ceremony of the General Debate of the 69th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. King Felipe made a speech during the assembly, his first adress to the UN as King of Spain.

Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, and his wife, Yoo Soon-taek.

In the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended the reception for the Heads of Delegation of the Member States of the United Nations.

Queen Letizia first wore a Felipe Varela black and white suit with her Felipe Varela clutch.

In the evening, Queen Letizia wore a black Felipe Varela dress with her Magrit sandals and her Magrit clutch.
