On Monday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia. attended a church service commemorating the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The service was led by priests Andrii Linkevych, Andrii Melnychuk, and pastor of the Royal Congregation Michael Bjerkhagen. The bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Stockholm, Cardinal Anders Arborelius, preached.

Earlier in the day, Queen Silvia met with Cardinal Anders Arborelius, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Stockholm, and Peter Brune from the aid organization Caritas Sweden to learn more about Caritas' aid activities around the world, with a particular focus on helping vulnerable children.
