Regal Review: Luxembourg National Day Celebrations in 2015 - Day 2

Today is Luxembourg’s National Day as well as the celebration of the official birthday of Grand Duke Henri. While the ceremonies will not go ahead as planned this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are looking back on the 2015 celebrations.

In the morning, the Grand Ducal family attended an official ceremony at the Philharmonie Luxembourg.

Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa wore a bespoke Armani Privé skirt suit.

Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore a navy dress with a matching navy coat. She paired the outfit with a Natan grey beaded clutch and Natan grey suede pumps.

Princess Claire wore a blue Elie Saab beaded neckline chiffon dress with pale blue pumps.

Princess Tessy wore a Calvin Klein ruffle dress with a printed jacket and a Natan clutch. Princess Alexandra wore a bright green knee length dress with a white jacket.

Following the ceremony, the family then attended a Te Deum service. The Te Deum is an interreligious service and was concelebrated by the archbishop of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Hollerich; the chief rabbi of Luxembourg, Alain Nacache; the imam of the Muslim community, Muhamed Rizvic; and a Protestant priest, Volker Strauß.

Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa wore the same Armani Privé suit but she added a black Philip Treacy hat.

Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore a yellow Paule Ka dress with a white clutch and white pumps.

Princess Claire wore a red polka dot dress by Dolce & Gabbana with Paula Mendoza earring and brown peep toe pumps.

Princess Tessy wore a navy Ted Baker beaded neckline dress with the same Natan clutch as earlier in the day.

Princess Alexandra wore a pale green lace dress with a matching shawl and a matching headpiece.

In the evening, a gala dinner took place at the castle to end the National Day celebrations.

Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa wore a green elbow sleeves gown with the Belgian Scroll Tiara.

Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore a white sleeveless cowl neck gown with Grand Duchess Marie-Adélaïde's Tiara.

Princess Claire wore a Johanna Ortiz red off the shoulder gown with a new ruby bandeau tiara and matching earrings and necklace.

Princess Tessy wore a strapless plum gown by Alexander McQueen with the tiara, necklace and earrings of the Oval Amethyst Parure. Princess Alexandra wore a one-shoulder Elie Saab blue gown - which had been worn by Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie in 2013 - with the Citrine/Topaz and Pearl Tiara.
