Regal Review: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 2017 Poland Visit - Day 2

On 18 July 2017, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent their second and last day in Poland.

They first visited the Stutthof concentration camp which was the first concentration camp set up outside of Germany in 1939. During their visit, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with five former prisoners of the camp.

Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge traveled to Gdansk where they were very warmly welcomed.

There, they took part in a street party where they drank Goldwasser - which is a Gdansk liqueur - and traditional Polish pierogi. They were also able to watch how amber craftsmen work.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge then visited the Gdansk Shakespeare theatre of which The Prince of Wales is Patron. The theatre hosts the Shakespeare festival each year since 2014 and the couple met with artists and crew members during their visit.

Their last official event in Poland was a visit to the European Solidarity Center which is where the Solidarity movement started in Poland. During their visit, the couple met with founding members of Solidarity, including Lech Walesa, and toured the museum.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore an Erdem floral printed top and matching skirt with Stuart Weitzman nude sandals and a new Etui Bags clutch. She also wore a necklace and earrings made of amber which is the native gemstone of Poland. It is believed the set was a gift from the Polish Presidential couple.
