Hereditary Grand Ducal Couple visits the Musée National des Mines de Fer

Today, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie visited the Musée National des Mines de Fer (MNM) in Rumelange.

They visited the galleries of the "Walert" mine which were operating from 1891 until 1963 before being opened to the public in 1973.

The galleries were often nicknamed the “Mausfal" (mousetrap) because of the danger that awaited them daily. Visitors of the galleries can thus really see how difficult the working conditions were at the time for miners.

Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore a Moncler coat, a red top, black trousers, and an Emporio Armani shoulder bag.
