Crown Princess Mette-Marit attends Memory Stones ceremony in Oslo

On Thursday, Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended a Memory Stones ceremony honoring Jewish victims of the Holocaust in Oslo. The project was started by German artist Gunter Demnig in 1994 and continues to this day.

The Memory Stones pay tribute to victims of Nazism during WWII. They are shaped like cobblestone and coated with a brass plate where the name, year of birth, year of deportation, as well as date, and place of death are engraved. The three stones that were laid down during the ceremony honored Ernst Josef Adler, Fritz Gustav Löwy, and Meta Hirschberg.

After the ceremony, an event was held at the Defense Museum during which Crown Princess Mette-Marit read excerpts from "Snublesteinene” by Ole Robert Sunde.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore her Max Mara dress with her Christian Louboutin pumps and her Maria La Rosa clutch. She also wore her Venyx earrings and her Christian Dior glasses.
