In her speech, Princess Marie said: "Congratulations on 30 years in the service of the sea, where you have made more than 7 million guests more knowledgeable about life in the sea - or as you call it, smitten by the sea. You have done this by creating fantastic experiences based on nature below sea level. And the sharks circling below me, and all your other over 200 species of sea creatures, are all important ambassadors for their fellow species in the wild and are the source of your fascinating communication that has an important purpose: To make us all take better care of the nature of the sea.”

Princess Marie and her family then visited the new penguin facility where they fed the Kattegat Centre's 22 penguins.
