Queen Maxima visits Colombia - Day 2

On Monday, Queen Maxima spent her second day in Colombay as she undertakes an official visit to the country in her role as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).

She first visited Cooperativa Financiera de Antioquia where she met Alexander and Diana Cristina, who expanded their textile business with loans from Cooperativa Financiera de Antioquia.

Afterward, Queen Maxima met with Juan Carlos Mora Uribe, CEO of Bancolombia, to discuss possible collaborations to improve financial health in the country.

Queen Maxima then met with Resident Coordinator Mireia Villar Forner in Bogota and attended a roundtable touching on Colombia’s digital & financial inclusion advances.

Queen Maxima also visited the Aburrá Valley of Antioquia to learn more about how fintech company Finaktiva and SiembraViva use technology and finance to foster a greener future and help people within the agricultural sector.

Queen Maxima wore a white top with her Natan skirt, Hermes shoes, her Dinh Van bracelet, and a traditional Colombian bag.
