King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima's working visit to the US - Day 1

This week, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima are making a working visit to Georgia and New York. The Royal Couple landed in the United States on Sunday evening.

On Monday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima first met with the Governor of Giorgia Brian Kemp at the State Capitol in Atlanta. They then held a meeting with Dutch CEOs about economic cooperation.

Afterward, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited the Martin Luther King Jr. Center where they laid a wreath at the grave of Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife Coretta Scott King. They also visited the Ebenezer Baptist Church, where Martin Luther King Jr. preached, where they met representatives of the church community and had a meeting with young people led by Reverend Bronson Woods.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima were then joined by the Mayor of Atlanta as they walked across the BeltLine. The BeltLine is a network of public parks and a 35-kilometer multi-use bicycle and walking path built on the site of former railroad tracks.

In the afternoon, the Royal Couple visited Patchwerk Recording Studios, a renowned hip-hop studio in Atlanta.

They also visited the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Headquarters where they spoke to researchers and scientists at the CDC headquarters about health in relation to the changing climate.

In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited the High Museum of Art where they toured the exhibition 'Dutch Art in a Global Age'. The Royal Couple then hosted a reception for American companies active in the Netherlands and important local partners.

On Sunday, Queen Maxima wore her Claes Iversen suit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Luz Camino earrings.

On Monday, Queen Maxima wore her Natan dress with her Natan pumps and her Sophie Habsburg clutch. She later changed into her Natan flats. She paired the outfit with her Philip Treacy hat, her Dinh Van bracelet, and her Patek Philippe watch.

In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Natan Couture outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Steltman earrings.
