Royal Wedding of Will and Kate: the guest outfits

On the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding anniversary, we are taking a look at the guest outfits of the ladies we cover. Read about what they wore during the pre-wedding gala dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park on April 28 and the wedding at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.

Greece:

Crown Princess Marie-Chantal attended with her husband, Crown Prince Pavlos; brother-in-law, Prince Nikolaos; future sister-in-law Tatiana Blatnik; mother-in-law, Queen Anne-Marie; father-in-law, King Constantine; and one of her sons, Prince Constantine-Alexios of Greece (William's godson). For the pre-wedding dinner, Marie-Chantal was in a Louis Vuitton gown that featured a deep V in the back and a small bow

For the wedding, she was in a light blue Chanel dress and jacket with a pair of Louboutins for the wedding. She was also in a blue Philip Treacy hat

Unfortunately, the only piece from Queen Sonja's ensembles from the pre-wedding dinner and wedding that have been identified was her hat. It was a white Lock and Co. hat with a feather in the center.

Spain:

Then-Princess Letizia attended the wedding with her husband, Prince Felipe and mother-in-law, Queen Sofia. Sofia's outfits have not been identified, but Letizia's luckily have! For the pre-wedding dinner the night before Letizia wore a strapless, purple (with flowers on the skirt) gown by Felipe Varela. The wedding saw her in a customized pink Pablo Y Mayaya hat that featured lace. Her dress was by Felipe Varela and featured 3/4 length sleeves and floral designs on the pink dress.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel represented the Swedish Royal Family at the ceremony. Victoria wore a red short-sleeved Escada gown to the pre-wedding dinner, and for the wedding, she wore a muted orange long-sleeved dress by Escada and a matching hat by Britta von Koenigsegg.

Naturally, Her Majesty and Prince Philip were in the first carriage of the royal procession with Prince Andrew while the second carriage carried Andrew's daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie and Charles and Camilla. The third carriage had Prince Edward and Sophie and William and Kate. Autumn and Peter rode in the last carriage with Princess Diana's sister, Lady Jane Fellowes and her husband.

A moment of silence was held before the race in memory and honor of those killed and injured in the Manchester Arena and London attacks, as well as the Grenfell Tower fire. The racecourse donated "£100,000 to the British Red Cross UK Solidarity and London Fire Relief Funds and local charities" for all those affected, according to The Telegraph.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie at the Royal Wedding in 2011

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie made quite the impression at the wedding of Prince William to then Catherine Middleton on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey. Unfortunately, both girls' outfits were deemed flops by many in the media and fashion world.

The Princesses arrived with their father, Prince Andrew on the day. Princess Beatrice wore a blush Valentino Haute Couture dress and coat with "the hat seen 'round the world" - the Philip Treacy silk "pretzel" hat that matched her outfit. The Princess also wore Jimmy Choo metallic ankle-strap pumps.

Her sister wore a blue and green Vivienne Westwood suit with a matching hat by Philip Treacy that featured beige feathers coming out of the top. Eugenie wore Jimmy Choo golden pumps like her older sister.

However, Princess Beatrice elected to auction off her royal wedding hat that garnered so much negative attention to charity in May 2011. It fetched over $130,000 on eBay for charities that benefit children.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie in Berlin to launch Great Britain MINI Tour

On January 17, 2013, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York were in Berlin, Germany, to launch the Great Britain MINI Tour.

For this event, Princess Beatrice wore a green Jonathan Saunders dress under a black Burberry coat with a black belt and gold buckle. Her Royal Highness was also wearing black tights and a pair of black Kurt Geiger heels.

Princess Eugenie was wearing an off-white Mulberry coat with black tights.

They both wore German and British flag pins on their coats. The sisters were seen posing with a Mini Cooper car painted to look like the British flag in front of the famous Brandenburg Gate. They posed after they had driven down the one way street in the car as a way of promoting GREAT.

They also visited the British School in Berlin and met with the students there. Furthermore, they visited the e-commerce company Zalando where they posed in a giant British flag credit card for the cameras.

Their Royal Highnesses were in Germany to support the British government's GREAT campaign. The campaign was created to promote the United Kingdom abroad. They went on to visit Hanover on January 18. Their father, Prince Andrew, funded the trip.

Princess Eugenie at the UNAIDS Gala 2016

On 13 June 2016, Princess Eugenie attended the UNAIDS Gala. Tickets at the event are highly sought after, with tables going as high a £70,000. Jessica found that she wore a red, short sleeved dress with a cowl neck by Alexander McQueen. She also carried a black Prada clutch and black Zara heels.

The Princess delivered a speech at the event, but what she said to those assembled is still unknown. The event took place in Basel, Switzerland. The previous year it took place in Geneva, Switzerland.

Guests were treated to music by Duran Duran, seen in the image above.

Other big names at the event were Keanu Reeves and Kofi Annan. They were all there to help raise money for the prevention of HIV/AIDS and treatment of the disease.

Former United Nations Secretary-General Annan was honored that evening for his work with AIDS and the money he's raised towards the cause. As of 2016, he has raised over one million dollars.
