Their first event of the day was at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) Lifeboat station to learn about the  24-hour rescue service. They boarded the lifeboat and had the opportunity to speak with the crew about day-to-day life as part of a team that helps those facing difficulties at sea.  They also met volunteers and watched a training exercise.
