Regal Review : The Wedding of Prince Joachim & Princess Marie of Denmark

Prince Joachim and Princess Marie are celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary today! Their wedding took place at Mogeltonder church with the Danish royal family and a few foreign royal guests in attendance.

After the ceremony, the newly married couple was greeted by the crowd waiting outside the church. A private reception took place in the evening.

Princess Marie wore a wedding gown by Arasa Morelli. It was made in 19th century inspired Calais lace with floral motifs in French embroidery. The dress is off-white and lined with ivory rope-woven silk taffeta from the Buche silk weave in the Loire Valley. The upper part consists of finely embroidered lace. The dress ends in a three meter long train. The veil is tulle, edged with lace. Princess Marie wore Princess Dagmar’s Floral Tiara and diamond earrings made in Geneva.
