Regal Review : The Wedding of Prince Joachim & Princess Marie of Denmark
Prince Joachim and Princess Marie are celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary today! Their wedding took place at Mogeltonder church with the Danish royal family and a few foreign royal guests in attendance.
After the ceremony, the newly married couple was greeted by the crowd waiting outside the church. A private reception took place in the evening.
Princess Marie wore a wedding gown by Arasa Morelli. It was made in 19th century inspired Calais lace with floral motifs in French embroidery. The dress is off-white and lined with ivory rope-woven silk taffeta from the Buche silk weave in the Loire Valley. The upper part consists of finely embroidered lace. The dress ends in a three meter long train. The veil is tulle, edged with lace. Princess Marie wore Princess Dagmar’s Floral Tiara and diamond earrings made in Geneva.
Queen Margrethe wore a pink elbow sleeve gown by Birgitte Thaulow with the Baden Palmette tiara.
Crown Princess Mary wore an Ole Yde ice blue ruffled gown with a silver clutch and blue pumps. She wore the tiara, earrings, bracelet and brooch from the Ruby Parure.
Princess Benedikte wore a champagne silk gown with a lace overlay with her Queen Sofia's Star and Pearl Tiara. Queen Anne-Marie wore a red embroidered gown with the Khedive of Egypt Tiara.
Crown Princess Victoria wore a coral sleeveless dress with matching shoes, an Anya Hindmarch gold clutch, and gold shoes. She wore the Four Button Tiara.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a pale pink off the shoulder gown with a VBH clutch and Jimmy Choo shoes. She wore the Diamond Daisy Bandeau tiara.
Princess Martha Louise wore a strapless champagne gown with a matching bolero and nude platform sandals. She wore the King Olav's Gift Tiara.
Princess Tatiana wore a purple Angel Sanchez strapless gown with a matching bolero and a Valentino silver clutch. As she was not yet married, she didn’t wear a tiara or an order.
