Regal Review: Princess Athena of Denmark's Christening

Eight years ago today, Princess Athena was christened at Mogeltonder Church with the Danish royal family in attendance.

During the ceremony, her full name was revealed to be Athena Marguerite Françoise Marie and her godparents are Gregory Gandet, Edouard Cavallier, Carina Axelsson, Julie Mirabaud, Diego de Lavandeyra, and Henriette Steenstrup.

Princess Marie wore a powder pink Valentino dress with her favorite Jil Sander pink pumps.

Princess Athena wore the christening robe that was also worn by her older brother Prins Henrik. It had been worn by Henrik for the first time and was designed by Henrik Hviid.

Queen Margrethe wore a lovely floral printed midi dress with a grey handbag and grey shoes.

Crown Princess Mary wore a Project D blue printed dress with a Prada clutch and Rupert Sanderson navy patent leather pumps.
