Trooping of the Colour: Fashion Recap 2019
Yesterday, the Queen was joined by her most of her growing family for the official celebration of her birthday in London. Although the Queen’s birthday is in April, the official celebration- known as Trooping of the Colour, is celebrated in June.
The Duchess of Cambridge chose a new custom made dress from Alexander McQueen. The pastel yellow dress features a draped collar neckline with peplums accentuating the waist. She paired this with a new diamond cross necklace and borrowed earrings from the Queen. The Bahrain Earrings are diamond and pearl earrings which the Queen had made following her marriage. The two large pearls were given to her from the Ruler of Bahrain as a wedding gift, and henceforth the name “Bahrain Earrings” came about. The Duchess finished her look with her Philip Treacy OC 458 hat.
The Duchess of Sussex made her first public appearance since the birth of her son last month.
For this occasion she opted for a custom made capelet and dress from her wedding designer, Claire Waight Keller (Givenchy). The Duchess also selected a new Mini Pocket Quilted Bag from Givenchy for the day. She paired this with a new custom made hat from Noel Stewart, navy leather gloves, and new Nikos Koulis 18k Oui Diamond & Black Enamel Stud Earrings.
The Queen’s daughter-in-law, Sophie the Countess of Wessex, was also in attendance at the celebrations.
For this joyful occasion, the Countess selected some of her tried-and-true pieces from her closet. She stood out in the crowd in her Apple Green Suzannah Silk Gazar dress, which she paired with her custom made Jane Taylor fascinator. She finished the look with a pair of earrings from Lucia Odescalchi.
Princess Beatrice looked cheerful yesterday in a spring colors.
For this occasion, Princess Beatrice selected to wear a dress from Emilia Wickstead. This dress has been seen a few times in the royal circles with both the Countess of Wessex and Crown Princess Mette Marit having it in their closet. She paired this with a hatband from Judy Bentinck and Cartier Juste un Clou bracelet.
Marking her first Trooping of the Colour as a married woman, Princess Eugenie stood out in a printed dress.
Debuting a new-to-her brand, Princess Eugenie wore a jacquard print dress from royal favorite Amanda Wakeley. She paired the look with a new hat from Emily London and carried her Celine trio pouch.
