Prince Carl-Philip and Princess Sofia attends #nejtillnäthat 2.0 event in Stockholm

Today, Prince Carl-Philip and Princess Sofia took part in the Prince Couple’s Foundation #nejtillnäthat 2.0 event against cyber-bullying.

The event was attended by representatives from the police, authorities, companies, social media platforms, and children and young people to discuss how young people in Sweden can be equipped for the digital world.

Princess Sofia made a speech in which she said: “In the same way that the Internet can create security and enable children and young people to be themselves, the Internet can also create insecurity. Not least in the form of online violations - something that today is, unfortunately, part of everyday life for far too many children and young people. The Internet Foundation reports that as many as three out of ten children aged 11 to 19 have been exposed to cyber-hatred.”

Princess Sofia also took part in a panel discussion with a student and a police officer.

During the day, Prince Carl-Philip and Princess Sofia attended several roundtable discussions to talk about bullying against children and young people online and how to secure young people's online presence.

In connection with the event, the Prince Couple Foundation also created a digital installation with exercises, tips, solutions, and tools for everyone to learn how to create an internet without hatred and bullying.

Princess Sofia wore a new coat by Tommy Hilfiger (with thanks to RoyalFashionPolice) over a new DAY dress. She paired the outfit with her Zara boots and a new Kasti clutch. She also wore new Margareta Avernäs earrings that were made of recycled silver.
