Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy was born on February 18, 1984, in East Flanders, Belgium, to a noble family. She has seven older siblings. Her parents are Count Philippe and the late Countess Alix who died just a few months before Stéphanie's wedding.
She has a degree in German philology from Louvain-la-Neuve and also has a master's degree. The polyglot speaks several languages (English, French, Dutch, German, Luxembourgish, and Russian).
She married Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg on October 19 and 20, 2012. She's now the Hereditary Grand Duchess. The couple has two children: Prince Charles, born in 2020, and Prince François, born in 2023.
