Princess Astrid
Astrid, Princess of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria-Este, was born in Brussels on 5 June 1962, the second child of Their Majesties the King and Queen.
Astrid married Lorenz d’Aviano on 22 September 1984 in Brussels. The couple has five children (Amedeo, Maria Laura, Joachim, Luisa Maria, and Laetitia Maria).
Astrid is a fierce advocate for landmine survivors rights, participating actively in the work of the Anti-Personel Mine Ban Convention since 1998.
On Wednesday, the Norwegian Royal Family was joined by members of Foreign Royal Families and hundreds of guests to bid farewell to King Harald V in Norway.
