King Felipe and Queen Letizia attend several events in Granada
Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended two events in Granada.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia first officially opened the exhibition “Odalisques. From Ingres to Picasso ” at the Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition focuses on “how the artistic theme of the odalisque, created mainly by French painting, embodies the great aesthetic innovations of the 19th and 20th centuries while representing a good part of the ghosts of the society that is moving towards modernity.”
After touring the exhibition, the couple went to the Nasrid Palaces, where they saw the restoration works carried out and how it is linked to the exhibition.
Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia presided over the delivery of the 2020 National Innovation and Design Awards. The awards are the highest distinction awarded in Spain to people and entities that have made innovation an essential element in the development of their professional strategy and business growth.
In his speech, King Felipe said: “To face future challenges, some unforeseeable, we will need all the talent in our society. Undoubtedly, in our country, we have this talent, a solid base of professionals and companies that, as these awards show, contribute with their vision and effort a true added value for the progress of Spain.”
Queen Letizia wore her Maje ‘Rayema’ green printed dress with her Carolina Herrera nude slingback pumps and her purple croc clutch. She paired the outfit with her TOUS earrings and Karen Hallam gold ring.
