Queen Maxima opens the House of Culture and Governance in Hoogezand

Today, Queen Maxima opened the House of Culture and Governance of the municipality of Midden-Groningen in Hoogezand.

The new building is sustainable and earthquake-resistant and Queen Maxima was joined by three primary school students to officially open it.

Afterward, Queen Maxima toured the building. She first talked with employees and volunteers about the Taalhuis and the e-lab that are located in the library. 

Then, she learned more ​​about the 'Time for the Future' program which offers extra teaching time to primary school students focused on talent development, well-being, health and reducing disadvantage.

Queen Maxima also toured the music school and the Kielzog theater which are housed in the building as well as the new council chamber of the town hall. Her visit ended with a meeting with members of the housing council working group, the children's mayor, and residents of Central Groningen to hear about their experiences with the new building.

She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi brown suede pumps and her Fabienne Delvigne hat. She also wore her Ole Lynggaard earrings.
