The Countess of Wessex's visit to Botswana - Day 1

On Monday, the Countess of Wessex started an official visit to Botswana following her visit to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda last week. The Countess of Wessex is visiting Botswana, and Malawi later this week, to see the lasting legacy of the Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee Trust in ending avoidable blindness.

She first visited the Molefe Primary School to learn more about the Pono Yame school eye health program as they are conducting a nationwide eye health screening for all school children.

Afterward, the Countess of Wessex met with the President of the Republic of Botswana, Mokgweetsi Masisi.

The Countess of Wessex then attended the United Kingdom and Botswana Reception given by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Botswana.

In the evening, the Countess of Wessex attended a dinner given by the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Gaborone International Convention Centre.

The Countess of Wessex first wore her CO dress with her Penelope Chilvers shoes and her Sophie Habsburg bag. She also wore her Felt bracelet.

The Countess of Wessex then wore her Suzannah dress with her Penelope Chilvers shoes. She paired the outfit with her Cassandra Goad necklace, her Felt bracelet, and her Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses.

In the evening, the Countess of Wessex wore her Soler dress with her Chloé sandals and her Sophie Habsburg bag as well as her Felt bracelet.
