Grande Duchess Maria Teresa attends Stand Speak Rise Up! events in Biarritz
This week, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa hosted a fundraiser gala for Stand Speak Rise Up! in Biarritz, France, and attended several events ahead of the gala.
On Monday, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa did interviews with L’Essentiel and RTL to raise awareness about the gala and the cause. Stand Speak Rise Up! aims to put an end to war rape and sexual violence in sensitive areas and to raise awareness about the fate of children born of rape.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore her Dries Van Noten blazer with a black outfit as well as rings by Peruffo and Annelise Michelson.
On Thursday evening, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa reunited with some of the survivors who attended the Stand Speak Rise Up! International Forum hosted in Luxembourg in 2019.

On Friday afternoon, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and Stéphane Bern attended a book signing event at a local bookstore for their book ‘Un Amour Souverain’. All proceeds from the book are given to Stand Speak Rise Up!.

Finally, on Friday evening, the Stand Speak Rise Up! Fundraising Gala took place at the Hotel du Palais in Biarritz.
The event was attended by Nobel Prize Laureate Dr. Denis Mukwege, survivors, and partners of the association. 4 future projects were presented, including a project which will provide help to Ukrainian women.
Grand Duke Henri, Prince Louis, and Princess Alexandra also attended the event.
