Spanish Royal Family attends 2022 Princess of Asturias Awards

On Friday evening, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, Infanta Sofia, and Queen Sofia attended the 2022 Princess of Asturias Awards.

This year’s winners are Shigeru Ban (Concord), Carmen Linares and María Pagés (Arts), Adam Michnik (Communication and Humanities), Eduardo Matos Moctezuma ( Social Sciences), the Refugee Olympic Foundation and Team (Sports), Juan Mayorga (Literature), Geoffrey Hinton, Yann LeCun, Yoshua Bengio and Demis Hassabis (Technical and Scientific Research), and Ellen MacArthur (International Cooperation).

Both King Felipe and Princess Leonor made speeches during the ceremony and Princess Leonor handed out the awards.

Queen Letizia wore a Carolina Herrera dress with her Isabel Abdo pumps, her Felipe Varela clutch, and her Karen Hallam ring.

Princess Leonor wore a Michael Kors dress with Carolina Herrera pumps and her mother’s Chanel earrings.

Infanta Sofia wore an El Corte Inglès dress (with thanks to Nuria) and her Paco Gil pumps.

Queen Sofia wore a blue suit with her Loewe bag.
